Fresh baked bread ...
Hours of board games played while sitting in front of a roaring fire ...
Sipping homemade hot chocolate while gazing at the beauty of winter ...
Topped off with early bedtimes for all. We could probably unplug in this exact same way on any given weekend - but there's something extraordinarily special about being forced to unplug in the middle of what was supposed to be a very busy week. What an awesome gift this storm was for our spirits!
Yesterday was everything that a snow day should be. Except the 8+ inches of snow we received was more of a slush that soaked our children to the core, but I'm not complaining because they weren't complaining. Which was remarkable to me because they were honestly drenched...
And yet still loving every minute of it.
