Charlie took a very quick trip (less than two full days) to California. When we went to pick him up at the airport - the children were overjoyed to see him again. To the point that they nearly climbed out the car window and in to his arms.
This scene is but one more that has been added to my ever growing repository of wonderful memories that I intend to preserve forever.
That is an incredibly sweet photo!

So sweet!!!
ReplyDeleteThat has to be one of the sweetest pictures I've seen in a long time
ReplyDeleteIt really was so precious. I was jumping out of the car to let Charlie drive home because even though I've been to the airport 30 times - - I get on the wrong road EVERY TIME leaving and we nearly wind up in West Virginia - - and was able to capture this shot. It's a bit blurry, but certainly captures the sweetness of the moment!
ReplyDeleteI felt the same way about my Dad--I was always glad to see him when he came home. He was a plumber during WW2 and worked on a base in RI. I remember going to the bus stop and being so happy he was home.
ReplyDeleteGreat picture.
MOM
... and it's the same way I feel every time I see you, MOM! Even to this day!!
