Notice the duct tape holding the frame of the crib together? We really get our use out of furniture around here. I had been hoping we'd be using this particular piece of furniture until Henry was three, but he's made it abundantly clear he's ready to move on.

Once he showed me his escape maneuver, I put him back in his crib. But when I went to check on the boys a short while later, I found that he had climbed out again - and was now tucked in to bed - and sleeping soundly with his big brother.

One day he was sleeping in his crib.

The next day he wasn't.

I've really got to stop blinking.

  1. Cute : ) It's so funny seeing how kids manage to climb out, that you caught it with the camera : )

When Ella and Zoe did that Tom and I bought crib tents and kept the girls in those until just a week or so ago (which I posted about a few posts back, including pics of our crib climbers). They love their new beds but we're still adjusting to their new freedom : )

  2. yea Henry! How did you get him to wear those p.j.'s? Where's Buzz Lightyear?

    Too cute. Love, Marg

  3. That is the cutest darn thing ever that he is in bed with William. Those fourth triplets do everything ahead of schedule. Austin will be driving when he's fourteen, without a license. You watch. He'll be twice as big as Greggers so he'll probably get away with it.

  6. I hear you my little DS guy is almost six months old. It isn't possible I just had him, I have the body to show that I JUST had him! So precious that little Henry!

  7. Not only does he escape in one fell swoop, he climbs out of the higher part of the crib. Nothing like taking the high road in life.

Oh man...I hear you on that one. Just three years ago, we were starting our fertility treatments with little hope that we'd ever have a family. Now...two ornery, exhausting, funny little monkeys that keep me on toes like no other job in the world. I'd love it more if it didn't go so dang fast!!!

  13. brotherly love is the coolest! My Ian(5) sneaks into Sean's(9) twin bed and they just cozy up and become a bundle of burrito boys rolled in the blanket.

I'm considering getting bunks with a full size bottom b/c they end up together so much.

  15. Our crib only lasted 8 months before my little climber got out regularly! I really miss the crib when I need a few moments of peace!
