seriously?

Nobody watches American Idol??

When I was just excitedly checking my e-mail for comments on my last blog post from people who share my enthusiasm for this awesome show, I noticed that I had received an e-mail from a Casting Producer whose company produces the television show SuperNanny.

It seems they are looking for families with multiples to cast in a new television series and after reading my blog, they think our family is entertaining enough to star in our own television series.

I think they must be crazy.

I don't know how many people would be interested in watching the day-to-day life of a family who is so behind that they record live television that they can't get around to watching for an entire week.

But at least we have fashion sense.

As evidenced by Elizabeth sporting her festive Christmas dress the week before Easter.

  2. Elizabeth is too cute. Reminds me of my friend's daughter who at the age of 4 wore a velvet dress for her sister's birthday party on June 3oth. And the party was in the backyard no less - swingset and all.LOL
At least with your own show you wouldn't have to worry about the dilema of going back to work full time.

  4. I don't watch AI as it conflicts with MY favorite show, The Biggest Loser. I do, however, have a DVR, and let me tell you, its THE BEST INVENTION EVER. Soon you will find yourself so annoyed with watching commercials that you'll record every show and fast forward right thru them. You can watch a 1 hour show is about 46 minutes...think what you could do with that 14 minutes every hour!!!

I would totally DVR your family if you were on Supernanny.

  13. The way I read the e-mail from the Casting Producer, they are looking for families with multiples (triplets or more) to have their OWN show. Not to appear on SuperNanny, but to actually BE the show.

Charlie thought I was kidding when I told him about the e-mail and isn't sure whether he'd want to do it. My mother on the other hand said we definitely should. But, then again, she thinks it might increase her odds of meeting Oprah.

I think it could be fun. So, I wrote to the Producer and asked for them to call me. But I'm absolutely not planning that either one of us would ever give up our careers ... in the off chance this even happened.

  15. It sounds like the same program I recently heard about from our multiples club. They are looking for multiples of triplets or more or additional sibs?
My DH talked to some lady in NY about it the other day. He loves that kind of thing but I am not so sure.
Keep us posted on how it works out.

  16. You guys are way too functional for reality tv! But still, that's kinda cool!

  17. Definitely think you should do it if the opportunity arises. Keep me in mind for hair,make-up and cupcakes on the set. I'll relocate.

  18. You know they always make the people look crazy and dysfunctional. I can't wait to watch your "Should I or Shouldn't I Go Back To Work Full Time?" episode. Yikes. Don't do it!!! Or do it. I can't decide. :)

  19. I agree with the others. You should SO do a show. I love reading your blog and I am sure that would translate beautifully into the TV format.

  20. Sorry about the late comment...

    1. DO IT! That would be so cool!

    2. I watch AI and I can't believe Allison keeps getting in the bottom 3. She's the best one! CRAZY!

  21. You should totally do the show! People would watch it (think of the Gosselins!)--I know I would. You and your family are very entertaining, and I mean that in the best possible way. As in, even when you write about the mundane, every day things, you make it interesting.

Side note: DVRs rock! I don't watch AI or most reality TV, so I can't join the conversation on that. I do watch Jon and Kate Plus 8 (and What Not to Wear).
