The first year Charlie and I were married, we bought a Lionel electric train for Christmas.
I love electric trains, especially the kind with a light on the front of a smoking locomotive, and believe they are the perfect addition to the base of a Christmas tree. Every year, we'll take our train out of the storage boxes and set it up on the tracks. And every year, after a very short period of time lapses, we recognize that our children (named Henry) are still too young to have this kind of "toy" within their reach. But much like we can now have glass ornaments on our tree, soon enough, I know we'll also be able to leave our train out for more than 10 minutes.
If I remember correctly, last year it was only five.
