handel's messiah at hot dog on a stick

I wasn't sure what to expect with this ... but I certainly didn't expect that I'd burst in to tears. Beautiful music does that to me, sometimes.

This clip actually makes me want to go to the mall and start my Christmas shopping.

And maybe stand in the middle of the food court and sing, "Hallelujah!"

  3. Last time I went on tour with the singing youth group from church we gathered at one of the rides at Disney World and sang that chorus; there were about 25 members of the group and it was a crystalline moment in my life. Confession time--tears flow each time I hear it sung. My late sister, a professional musician, could sing it so amazingly well.... I am missing her even more this time of year.

  4. I had the same reaction when it was sent to me last week!! To me the whole scene was so moving, so beautiful, that I was totally overwhelmed. Somehow it was a light for these trying days in which we are living--a breath of fresh air.

What a totally joyous and wonderful idea of someone who gave us all this treat, not just the people in the food court!!

  6. I burst into tears as well and our kids thought I was nuts.

This was taped in the mall near my friends house--I would have LOVED to have been there. Except I would be on video looking ridiculous sniffling and wiping my tears.
