Sometimes it drives my friends and family crazy but I keep telling them, I know what it is like to feel like your entire world is falling apart and have others judge you because you are short with them when really you just want to yell do you know what I went through this morning? So I try to give others the benefit of the doubt. I don't know what hardships they had to face just to get to where they are.Heatherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01879753863902363299noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24756113.post-60235964294427029372010-06-18T12:10:06.106-05:002010-06-18T12:10:06.106-05:00I agree with you Jen..We had a neighbor while grow...I agree with you Jen..We had a neighbor while growing up who was also our middle school teacher. She was a huge help to me & gave me some confidence when I didn't have any. We still talk & see each other when we can but she was the one that told me I had a special "spark" in my eyes that was great & never let it burn out. I have always remembered that. I am so happy that Mrs. Parsons took you under her wing like Karen did for me. She is like another mom to me & sometimes I tell her things that I don't even tell my mom.

Thanks for sharing your story.

LoriAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24756113.post-88475978520903748732010-06-18T11:47:19.551-05:002010-06-18T11:47:19.551-05:00GOOZE BUMPS! Whenever anyone snaps at me for no reason I tell myself that I have no idea what's going on in their life that provoked the behavior and try to forgive and offer a smile. And, I too had quite an imagination in my youth - I told my kindergarten teacher that my aunt was a hostage in Iran and the whole class prayed for her for weeks. Why? No idea. Family still talks about it.Jeanninehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09373954258456287652noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24756113.post-5234055421096431262010-06-18T09:41:34.201-05:002010-06-18T09:41:34.201-05:00What a beautiful story. My Freshman year of high school, the choir teacher told me not to bother trying out for the musical, because I wouldn't get a part....she retired the next year, and it took until my Senior year for the new teacher to convince me to try out. I had a lead role my Senior year and will forever be grateful to that teacher for giving me confidence in life. Something I had little of before. We're still Facebook friends, after all these years! ;)Leia Hhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15996757173950376069noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24756113.post-10317765852034162032010-06-18T09:36:03.253-05:002010-06-18T09:36:03.253-05:00Great post ... thanks for sharing this today!Great post ... thanks for sharing this today!Carriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17033182897223142464noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24756113.post-45467738305507733562010-06-18T07:12:59.596-05:002010-06-18T07:12:59.596-05:00Hi Jen

I hope your children encounter a Mrs
Parsons too during their education.

My Mrs Parsons was Mrs Sparks who taught me in grade 5 & 6. We kept in touch when I went to high school. I last saw her about 10 years ago and she seemed so proud if me. Mrs Sparks died of breast cancer about 6 years ago. I keep in touch with her husband & I wrote him a note after her death saying what a profound influence she had on me. I just wish I said that to Mrs Sparks the last time I saw her. Teachers are important people! LucyEla Beachhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10250620801532557340noreply@blogger.com
