I KNOW the housing costs and the property tax issues by switching homes. I do also know that locks and sinks and homes are just places and things and that PEOPLE are the real issues and that weather is just weather.. but we're awfully spoiled her in California. According to my husband (from Maine) we don't even have "real winters" here in Philadelphia, well, whatever it is we have, you go CRAZY at the beginning of February. And then you realize you still have potentially two more months of winter left!!!

San Diego *is* paradise, I can't honestly understand wanting to leave there . . . TOOOOO adorable.

What about hiring a baby-proofing company to come in and install your locks? I seriously saw a van driving around here the other day that specializes in that kind of thing. I'm all about doing it yourself most of the time, but sometimes it really is worth it to just write a check instead of having to sweat it yourself. Or cause Charlie to have carpal tunnel. ;)

I don't envy your decision making process one bit. We have a few of those coming up, ourselves. I know you guys will be happier with all of that room. Hire a handyman to install the Tot-Loks.
2. The triplets will be big enough to bath in the tub by the time Nemo is born, so you only need room for one fish in the kitchen sink.
3. If the new backyard is too small, ditch the home sandbox and go to the park! Also, remember that preschools and parks have lots of equipment. All you really need in a backyard is a BBQ and place to sit out under the stars!

Hang in there!
