When I took the top off I thought it looked funny. So I turned the container around and the expiration date read APRIL 2007. Yeah, I was feeding my little kids food from over a year ago. I was instantly mad...I ran over to the cabinet full of baby food and started my search. Seven out of the 12 containers I bought were from April of 07. I can not believe that a place could be that complacent. I just wanted to say also that I love your blog...it gives me hope that I can make it with my triplets. Mine are just turning one so reading your blog opens my eyes of things to come.HansonTripletshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17556404637705322589noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24756113.post-8953790171936322552008-10-14T17:26:00.000-05:002008-10-14T17:26:00.000-05:00Um ew anon. I think you might be better off having the kids eat the raw fruit than the juice. They love fruit so perhaps they will love the orange and grapefruit segments.
MOMAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24756113.post-28815356148252498712008-10-13T19:44:00.000-05:002008-10-13T19:44:00.000-05:00One of the reasons I love making my own fresh gree...One of the reasons I love making my own fresh green juice is because it's truly fresh. But, I have to be on top of getting FRESH produce for it, so I can related.

I'm also a stickler for getting the freshest in the selection. I'll even ask the produce manager for something from the back where the fresher stuff is :)

Cheers,
KristenKristen's Rawhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15340522295588234162noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24756113.post-90048658127718814072008-10-13T18:08:00.000-05:002008-10-13T18:08:00.000-05:00Whoah, I just read those your description of FDA a...Whoah, I just read those your description of FDA allowances, Anon. I have shopped at our newly-opened, locally-owned market a few times and have come home with expired dairy products. Several times the produce molded within one or two days.

The worst part, like in your case, is that the organic groceries from our locally-owned market are really expensive!!! Good for you for going back.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24756113.post-49711768787081211332008-10-13T17:19:00.000-05:002008-10-13T17:19:00.000-05:00I hear you completely. And this was at the fancy market too, where everything is merchandised so nicely and they charge you out the nose for it. Luckily I saw it before it came home with me, but who has time to go back if you miss it? The worst was the pork loin I bought that was NOT expired according to the date on the package, but once opened it stunk so badly I refused to cook it. Infuritating!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24756113.post-38556078638616366212008-10-13T16:35:00.000-05:002008-10-13T16:35:00.000-05:00OMG, I just read Anon's comment and threw up.I jus...OMG, I just read Anon's comment and threw up.

I just cleaned worms out of my cupbpard from organic rice that was WORMY, so if you can swing by here and pick up the remains and take them over to Sunflower Market, I would BE SO HAPPY! :)

I think you need the green juice too. I get a flat of wheatgrass to juice for $5.99.
