My mom did this with me when I was a kid and one of my favorite memories are the special mornings where she would make French toast and read and read from the Little House books. I think we had gone through the whole set by the time I was 4 or so and it instilled a life long love of reading (and a lifelong habit of sitting at the breakfast table with a good book).J and J Mamahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07261381531546970555noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24756113.post-56164573209967557602010-03-23T05:42:19.400-05:002010-03-23T05:42:19.400-05:00What a fantastic idea! Melody has a need to comment on everything, which makes eating slow going. The darn food makes her have to do the unthinkable ... stop talking for a few seconds!

Lap sharing is also easy at our house. Jessica's the lap sitter, and Melody the leg-lounger. Daddy's lap is still big enough for both of them, but they still prefer that configuration.

I'll have to pass your idea along to a friend with a similar problem.Sadiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04042551936789254047noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24756113.post-47244541492401490282010-03-22T22:03:25.229-05:002010-03-22T22:03:25.229-05:00This comment has been removed by the author.Darcie Peelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03127506190803312391noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24756113.post-4016391531826815212010-03-22T21:43:32.745-05:002010-03-22T21:43:32.745-05:00Absolutely brilliant idea! It's not, I have it worked into the routine.Mommy Daisyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02272248293460562006noreply@blogger.com
